I am just chugging right along with these Wedding Wednesday posts, which means if you’re super patient, maybe one day you’ll get to see our actual wedding! I already posted another outfit from this session here and wrote more there on our engagement session and photographer.
This outfit was shot on the Peabody campus of Vanderbilt, which was actually one of my favorite places to escape and get some peace and perspective. I used to take Pippa on long evening walks around this part of campus, and those walks were usually my favorite moments of the day. It can be hard to step away and remember that the world is a bigger, happier place outside of the law school building, but this spot allowed me to get some fresh air to do just that.
The huge, stately lawn is awesome for college picnics and pick-up frisbee games, so it’s possible that I might have sometimes let Pippa off her leash to run around visiting the college kids and get her ya-yas out. We met at Vanderbilt and clearly had to have engagement photos taken there, but honestly, the law school was not my favorite place. This little corner of Peabody was my escape to feel like my old, less stressed-out self, and I love having these photos to remember those fun evening walks with Pips.
Most of my time spent in this spot on campus was admittedly after Will had graduated and we were long-distance. But there were plenty of times when we would either study or walk Pippa there together, too.
This is pretty standard Peabody lawn frolicking behavior.
There are a lot of shots without Pips, because surprisingly, she’s not terribly patient.
Pippa and I used to sit on these steps all the time and take a break to enjoy the view for a second.
