I really can’t believe it’s already Thursday and I’m just getting to this, but I still feel like I just got back from Nashville! Three of my high school friends and I threw a baby shower for our friend Paige on Saturday, and it was so much fun. We’ve all known each other very well for a very long time, and this girls’ weekend was an especially sweet and special time–the last time we’ll all be together before one of us is a mom! I couldn’t feel more blessed to have such a solid crew of hometown friends, and we’re thankful for any excuse to get together since we all live in different cities. We’ve been through a lot together and it makes me feel really old that we’re planning one of our last weddings and getting ready for our first baby! 🙂
I can’t wait to meet this baby and see Paige and Jon Mark as parents. They are such genuine, kind, wonderful people, and I love that their house is always open to guests and friends. They’re going to be great parents, and this is going to be one lucky baby!
On to the shower! It was a team effort, and I think it turned out beautifully! We don’t know the gender of the baby (it will be a surprise to everyone in May!), so we went with the classic yellow and green color scheme, starting with the gorgeous invitation Ida ordered.
We held it at Paige’s friend Millie’s adorable house, and it was already just the most beautiful, coziest place, so it was best to keep our decorations simple! I think they blended in well with Millie’s decor. Also, how cute is Beau? Isn’t he handsome?
Unfortunately Maggie couldn’t make it, but she did a great job making decorations in advance! She made this precious banner!
Monica made those sandwiches, and they were so good.
I was checking the light, but look at how gorgeous Mon is!
Annnndd SHE’S HERE! I want this maternity outfit.
Couldn’t help myself with this creepo pic of this pretty mama. 🙂
It was so much fun seeing the gifts! I didn’t know what half of the baby gear was even for!How sweet is this? I love mamas-to-be looking at little baby clothes. They’re so small!
Anyway, thanks to Millie, Ida, Monica, and Maggie–this shower was a huge success! I’ll share more about my trip to Nashville tomorrow.
