Happy Friday, friends! We had the best time at Butler’s Orchard last Saturday pumpkin picking, and the fall fun is just getting started! I loved pumpkin patches and Halloween parties before, but this time of year with a kid is just next level. We are loving it! Pumpkin patch pictures are coming soon, but in the meantime, here are the other highlights from our week!

Gymboween 2018!
No one asked me to say this, but Gymboree is truly my child’s favorite thing, so when we heard they were having a Halloween party, obviously we were all about it. If she is screaming mad or sad, I can sing Gymboree songs, and I promise this kid smiles. She’s OBSESSED with Gymbo the clown, which is just hilarious to me. I got her a mini Gymbo puppet, and she hugs and kisses him in her car seat all the time. Anyway, there was a fun craft where we made ghosts with their footprints (Victoria’s first craft!), all the usual Gymboree games and songs and play, plus food. So here are a million photos of her as a bumblebee. 🙂 This costume is half store bought and half homemade, and I bet you can tell which parts are which.

Parenting Class with the Wilkins
I’ve enjoyed listening to Jen Wilkin talk about parenting since my moms’ group listened to her talk on “How to Raise an Alien Child” last year. She’s so no-nonsense and really seems to have great ideas for Biblical parenting in the real world. Then my friend told me about the parenting class she and her husband gave in 2011, and all the talks are online! I’ve been really enjoying them as I get ready in the morning. We’re not there yet on a lot of the stuff, but for a surprising amount of it, it’s time!

Powersheets Launch!
From the Cultivate Shop
Cultivate What Matters launched their beautiful 2019 Powersheets this week, and it was so much fun! I didn’t order mine yet, because that needs to go on the November budget, but I love my Powersheets, and you can read all about them here!

Thanksgiving “Advent” Calendar
One thing I did order this month is this adorable fall tree “advent” calendar from Pottery Barn Kids! I had to order this, because we need it by November 1st. I really love the idea of getting into the season and counting down to holidays while also teaching Victoria about God/using it as a simple daily devotional. My plan is to put cards with the promises of God in each leaf.

Crock Pot Recipes
As soon as the weather turns cold I want to break out the Crock Pot, and we’ve made a lot more than chili so far this fall! I’ve made homemade spaghetti sauce with meatballs and this new Southern Living chicken and pumpkin stew, both of which were huge hits. One fall recipe not in the Crock Pot that was easy nonetheless? This veggie ravioli from Alexandra Bee Blog!
Happy fall weekend!
