Happy April Fools Day! I am actually not a huge fan of pranks, but I excited about having a new month and a fresh start! The one thing that is not a trick today is that I’m back! I got busy and didn’t feel like I could juggle everything including this blog, but then I went to Making Things Happen and realized it’s all about setting priorities, being intentional, and creating time for the things that matter most. I like to think of Easter and spring as a sort of new year, so I am getting into some good new habits. One habit is blogging, because I love having this little creative outlet, so I’m making it happen.
It was a great but busy week. Easter with family is a great start to any week, and then we hosted our church Community Group at our place on Tuesday. It was so fun to have everyone in our little home, and I love a good excuse to make brownies. Here are some other highlights:

Happy Birthday Haley!
The week started off with my bestie’s birthday and a sweet feature about how cool she is on Houston’s Tidbits! I don’t know if I know anyone as passionate and invested in their field (except maybe Will) as Haley is, and it was so great to see that come through on the post!

Family in Town
We also so enjoyed having Will’s aunt, uncle, and cousins come visit us for Easter! They showed the kids all the important sights in DC, just like my parents did when Andrew and I were about that age. It was a fun weekend of museums and great restaurants. Will went to Pizza Paradiso with everyone on Thursday night, Friday night we had some great Southern food at Georgia Brown’s, and Saturday night we had an adults-only outing to The Occidental and POV, where we looked into the White House’s backyard and watched the lights go out.
(Please excuse the grainy photo.)
On Sunday afternoon everyone came over to our place, and Pippa learned that kids are ok. (She had been scared of them, but she really warmed up to Miles!)
We’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming next week!
