Good morning and happy Friday! It’s been quiet around here because we had a really slow start to this week. I usually get a lot of writing done on the weekends, but this past weekend, we both came down with a really mean stomach bug that put life on pause for several days. Thankfully, we are all better now, but it meant we had to cancel all of our weekend plans (no crawfish boil!). I consoled myself about missing King Charles III by catching up on some episodes of The Crown, and thankfully, we are back in action. Here’s what’s on my radar.

Spring-ifying Our Home
Pier One Tulip Wreath (on sale for $31!) // Bloom banner from Target Dollar Section
They may be forecasting snow next week, but I am so ready for some spring decor to brighten up our space! As you know, I love to use seasonal decor in our home. My schedule is: January-February (Winter), March-May (Spring), June-August (Summer), September-November (Fall), and December (Christmas). So it’s March, and it’s time for spring! This year I added this delightful tulip wreath for our door that I first saw on Erin’s blog and a bloom banner from Target for our makeshift mantle. They make me so happy! You can see the rest of the way I decorate for spring in this how-to post from last year.

Dinner with Erin and Plans for an April Weekend in Charleston!
Speaking of Erin, it made my week that she was in town for a work meeting, which means another three hour catch-up session at Founding Farmers last night! This lady is such a blessing to me, and we miss her and Ryan so much. I’m so proud, though, of all the incredible things Erin is doing in Charleston! She is such a wonderful working, blogging, mama mentor. We finally booked our tickets to go visit them in Charleston for a weekend in April, and I am already counting down the days! We have to get those trips we’ve been meaning to take in before the baby comes. 🙂

The Bush Twins’ New Book
Did you see that the Bush twins are coming out with a memoir? It’s no secret that I absolutely love these ladies, and I can’t wait to read it! I love that they always exude warmth and grace in such a genuine way. I wish Jenna would come out with a parenting book, because I imagine she’s a wonderful mama too!

Emily’s Monthly Prep Day
Speaking of wise ladies, I read the best post by Emily Thomas recently and finally implemented her monthly planning day this week! Emily is full of great ideas, and this is one of those small habits that can make a huge difference. Will and I already try to sit down on the last Sunday of the month and look at our schedules, plans, and budget for the month ahead to get on the same page. But Emily’s plan takes that one step further, as she tries to get as much actually booked, organized, and bought as possible during her prep time. No time like the present! A couple hours of decision-making and ticket-buying really helped me feel so much more ready for the month ahead and cut my month’s to-do list in half in one sitting. It’s less overwhelming to get some details ironed out than to spend time planning to plan. Thinking ahead really helps avoid those nagging reminders to myself and ultimately helps celebrate occasions and others well, which it what it’s all about! Read more here.

Grapefruit Candles
Yellow Candle // Pink Candle // White Candle
Another fun spring pick-me-up I’ve been enjoying this week is my grapefruit candle! Scent can make a huge difference, and if it’s going to get cold outside again, I’m at least going to keep spring alive inside.
What are you up to this weekend?
