We are headed to Charlotte this weekend to celebrate Will’s grandma Janie’s birthday and spend time with family, which made me realize I am still sitting on some beautiful family beach photos! Oops! We spent the best Memorial Day (yes, I do mean Memorial Day) with the Markses and Mosers out on the Crystal Coast, which is their annual tradition. Then just around that time I fell off the blogging bandwagon for the rest of the summer. But these kids are way too cute to let this one go, so welcome back to summer! 🙂 I am so blessed to have such a fun new family!
Hanging Out at the HouseOur pad for the week(/weekend for me and Will unfortunately)!
This weekend was so relaxing and great just to spend time with family. We love these kids! They are so sweet and smart and funny.
Our flower girl and ring bearer! Aren’t they adorable?
Hanging out with grandpa Kermit
I had to take so many pictures of Addison, because she’s just so gorgeous!
The kids played nonstop at the beach and then would come home and play some more in the pool at the house while we were getting dinner ready.
Don’t worry, someone was always watching them! Hi, Kermit!
We just had a very laid back time and all took turns making dinner in the evenings (which is when I discovered Will’s dad makes the best homemade salsa) and of course, there was a low country boil. I’m learning so much about these North Carolinans, and I’m into it.
After dinner we would hang out some more, and we taught Morgan and Evan how to play Settlers of Catan! Yesssss.
Family Portraits
One evening we also took this opportunity to have portraits of the whole family made by Dylan Ray Photography!
We couldn’t decide if Will and I are the adults or the kids, haha. I love this one!
Here we’re back to photos taken with my camera.
Addison is a camera ham, just like I was! I love this sassy pose. 🙂
This was the cutest neighborhood ever, just full of pastel beach houses with white trim and golf carts headed for the beach. 🙂
Look at this man using proper sun protection! Before me, he didn’t even know about the towel-over-the-legs trick, but just look at him now. What a champ.
Will teaching Miles to skim board.
Evening on the BeachI just love coming back out after a hot shower for a sunscreen-free evening walk on the beach when the sun is setting and most people have gone in for dinner.
The Mosers let me practice my photography on them while the light was so good. Isn’t this sweet? Marty and two of his three!
Morgan is such a good big sister.
The Mosers have some other relatives and friends who stay near them over Memorial Day, and we went to visit!
It was a wonderful weekend, and I can’t wait to see everyone again on Saturday!
